According to reports, Majid, a former snooker player, tragically took his own life using a wood-cutting machine, possibly due to depression that he had been experiencing since his playing days.
Majid, who had represented his country in numerous international events, held a prominent position on the national circuit as a highly ranked player.
The reports also indicated that Majid is the second snooker player to pass away within a month. In the previous month, Muhammad Bilal, another international snooker player, tragically died after experiencing a cardiac arrest.
Expressing deep sadness, Alamgir Sheikh, the Chairman of Pakistan Billiards and Snooker, stated that the entire community mourned the loss of Majid. Sheikh, as mentioned in media reports, remarked, “He possessed immense talent and was still young. We had great expectations from him to bring pride to Pakistan.”
